Coming Soon to this Blog

Once there was a blogger, who lead his readers on a countdown to The Avengers and an adventure in the DC Universe. Then he shared with them an Unexpected Blog Series about The Hobbit. Then he commemorated the Star Wars saga. Now, Jonathon D. Svendsen gets ready to celebrate another huge milestone.

This year marks the 65th anniversary of one of his favorite books, The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. Not only that, this December marks the tenth anniversary of the film adaptation of the book. Starting this Christmas, join him in a new blog series:
Beyond The Lamppost: Celebrating the Chronicles of Narnia.
Lucy, Edmund, Susan, Peter, Professor Kirke, Mr. Tumnus the faun, The White Witch, and of course, The Great Lion Himself will be here. Along the way Jonathon will also explore a few parallels between the Chronicles and the rest of Lewis’ work. Won’t you join them?

About jonathondsvendsen

Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog! Somehow you stumbled upon it. Whatever brought you around, I'm glad you're here. I am a free-lance writer and independent scholar of pop-cultural mythology, living and working in Minnesota. An aspiring mythmaker, I dream of voyages through space, fantastic worlds, and even my own superhero or two. I am also an established public speaker and have guest-lectured for college classes on the topic of comic book superheroes. I graduated from Bethel University in 2007 with a degree in Literature and Creative writing. I also write for the website NarniaFans.com. Head on over and you can check out my book reviews , a few fun interviews and even my April Fools Day jokes.
